Identifying & Removing Invasive Tree Species
Invasive plant species pose a significant threat to our native fauna as well as our natural landscapes, waterways and agricultural lands. When most people think of weeds they often picture plants such as lantana and thistles but the reality is many trees can also present a serious threat to our ecosystem. You may in fact have several weed species in your backyard due to one third of Australia’s noxious weeds being introduced as garden ornamentals.
Initially a plant was classified to be a weed if it had a direct economic impact which typically came in terms of hindered agricultural production. Over time we have widened these conditions to include plans which have adverse effects on the natural ecosystem of an area which is largely due to increasing environmental consciousness.
Tweed Valley Tree Services are experts in both the identification and removal of invasive species throughout Northern New South Wales and Southern Gold Coast regions. While our business revolves around the removal of trees we care about our environment and understand the threat that introduced flora can present to our delicate ecosystem.
